Bridal Emergency Kit
One more week until I go from “Ms. to Mrs.”, and let me tell you, I have waited A LONG time! Mike and I got engaged in 2019, had a 2020 wedding date picked and planned, then a later wedding date, and another after that, and now this one!
Needless to say, I’m not letting anything stop me from walking down that aisle on Thursday! So I thought I’d share a few products that I will absolutely have with me on the day-of, just in case.
AlkaLime: If you’ve been here a while, you know that I’m the biggest promoter for this product! The last thing I ever want to have to worry about on my wedding day is an upset stomach. AlkaLime not only helps with that, but also helps balance the pH in our body. Our ceremony isn’t until early evening, so we’ll definitely be having have coffee, breakfast, snacks and lunch to keep us moving throughout the day. I carry this bad boy with me at all times, and that day will be no exception.
Valor Roll-On: one word, nerves. I’m completely confident in my choice of groom, so this isn’t about cold feet. However, I’m definitely Type A, and my need for everything to go smoothly and look perfect is definitely real. Valor is going to help calm those nerves, but also doubles as my “Something Blue”.
Seedlings Wipes: these wipes smell heavenly and are so great for easy clean-ups, and so sensitive on the skin! I’m thinking, easy for make-up clean-up, a little refresh over your arms, legs and armpits as the day goes on. So handy!
Ningxia: no doubt it’s going to be a very long day, so a packet or two of Ningxia is a no brainer! Antioxidants, natural energy, supports immune function, and balances blood sugar. Yep, definitely going to need all of that!
Poppy Lip Scrub: this is one of my favorite products at the moment, and I didn’t realize how amazing it was until just a few months ago. I’ve been obsessed with the scrub, using it every few days to slough off any dry or dead skin (and this is where my obsession then comes into play). After I’ve scrubbed my lips and wiped them off, I then tap my finger into the pot and try to just get some of the oil product that conditions, moisturizes and softens my lips - like magic! I love using it as an overnight lip treatment. It’s such a great prep step for your lipstick/lipgloss, and not to mention gives you beautiful kissable lips!
Owie Oil: Just last night I was shaving and I nicked myself right on my ankle (hello, 12-year-old Jessica). As soon as I got out, I put a drop of Owie oil on it, and immediately threw it in my “emergency” bag.
Peppermint: Okay, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I wasn’t getting a little nervous. And when I get nervous, my stomach starts to turn and I get a little nauseous. Peppermint will help with the nausea, helps with focus, head tension and settle your stomach, all in one!
