Four ways to use Thieves cleaner
One of my favorite products from Young Living is Thieves Household cleaner. It is perfect for having on hand to keep your house clean and free from harsh chemicals, and is it SO versatile! And with people coming over so much this summer, I am constantly cleaning and freshening our home to keep us healthy and happy!
We keep a spray bottle pre-diluted 30:1 for general cleaning. This breaks down to 1T of concentrated Thieves cleaner in a 160z glass spray bottle. Fill the rest with distilled water. Super easy!
BUT you can also use this gem for so many other things....
Glass and Mirror Cleaner
1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner
5 drops Citrus Fresh essential oil
1 teaspoon white vinegar
3 cups water
Add all ingredients to a spray bottle (24oz or larger) and shake well to combine. To use, spray windows and glass surfaces liberally and wipe clean with a lint-free cloth. Alternatively, add to a glass jar, combine, then pour into a smaller bottle for use and store the remaining solution in the glass jar.
Deep Cleaning Scrub
1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner
2–3 tablespoons baking soda
Combine Thieves Household Cleaner and enough baking soda to form a thick paste. Apply mixture with a clean cloth, sponge, or scrubbing brush and scour the surface thoroughly. Let sit for 15 minutes, and rinse everything clean.
Carpet Spot Cleaner
1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner
6 cups water
Mix water and Thieves Household Cleaner in a spray bottle, shaking to combine. To use, lightly spray the spot and blot with a clean white cloth. Repeat as needed.
Hardwood Floor Cleaner
1 gallon hot water
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup Thieves Household cleaner
3-4 drops orange or pine essential oil
Add ingredients into a mop bucket. Soak a soft cleaning cloth in the solution, then wring excess and wash a small 4x4 section of the floor. Follow with a dry soft cloth and move onto the next section!
