Cleaning Your Diffuser
Diffusing is one amazing way to use your oils but we need to make sure we’re taking good care of our diffusers pumping out all the plant goodness. Here are a few tips on cleaning them regularly and what I personally like to do. Plus, I’m adding in some of my non Young Living favorite diffusers at the end for you to shop!
CLEANING YOUR DIFFUSER
Grab some rubbing alcohol, thieves cleaner, scrubbing tools and thieves soft scrub for tough stains. I take everything apart, rinse out and add rubbing alcohol to the basin to start scrubbing. Then spritz with thieves cleaner and wipe clean. For the aria, I get caked on stains (because I need to be better at cleaning regularly 😅) so I use my thieves soft scrub to scrub off build up! Rubbing alcohol is perfect to clean the metal plate with a q-tip, too! Once you’ve walked through those step, rinse out the basin and dry off.
With the lids on your diffuser, you can soak them in warm water and thieves dish soap to scrub clean. Make sure to steer clear of all vent openings of water to not damage the motor when cleaning the basin. It’s ideal to clean them weekly and always read your manual but I clean like every 6 months if I’m being honest. 🤪
