Vanilla oil is here! It launched a few months back and while it’s been in and out of stock often, it’s something that deserves it’s own post all about how special it is.

A few things about our vanilla:

- vanilla is NOT an essential oil.

- vanilla is NOT an extract.

- vanilla is NOT a vitality.

- vanilla IS an oleoresin that is blended with fractionated coconut oil.

- vanilla can be used in your diffuser or topically!

Here are a few facts + FAQ:

Q: What is the method of extraction for this?

A. Young Living has worked to develop a unique extraction method created for Young Living that produces a high-quality vanilla oleoresin. This unique process gives our Vanilla a desired aroma that blends well with Young Living essential oils. Obtaining just the right Vanilla oleoresin involves extracting the Vanilla with naturally sourced ethyl alcohol (from French sugar beets), and is then is heated and removed to create the Vanilla oleoresin, at which point the product is processed with fractionated coconut oil to make it pourable.

Q: Is this the same Vanilla included in some of Young Living’s other EO blends and products?

A. The Vanilla included in other Young Living products is not the same as the Vanilla Oleoresin with Fractionated Coconut Oil. The vanilla used in current Young Living products blends well in the formulas Young Living has created, but we wanted to have a Vanilla that you could use in your home, that was easy to blend with essential oils and easy to diffuse in your home. Young Living scientists searched more than a year to find the right product and with using a first-of-its-kind extraction method, this Vanilla Oleoresin with Fractionated Coconut Oil, this Vanilla is the perfect solution for you to use in your home and create your own beautiful blends!

Q: Is this the same Vanilla that is used in the Stress Away essential oil blend?

A. No. The vanilla used in Stress Away is the same plant species but a different type of vanilla extract. When Stress Away blend was formulated, we did not have this exact extraction method available.

Overall, this vanilla smells like a buttery, smooth and soft oil. It’s been a favorite for making perfume rollers and adding to diffuser blends but also for gift giving! I feel like so many love the soft smell of vanilla so it’s a great gift - especially during winter and spring months! Click here for a printable filled with our favorite vanilla diffuser blends!
